Crave Vesper Makes Me Feel Fancy While Having Orgasms

Vesper and Lioness

By Liz Klinger, Co-founder and CEO of Lioness

When it comes to experimenting with Lioness's biofeedback technology, I’ve sometimes suggested trying different sensations (including different vibrators) to see how they may affect your pleasure.

As an example of what I mean, there's the heavy hitting Magic Wand, the pinpoint Zumio, suction toys like LELO's Sona Cruise, and Crave's slim, stylish Vesper, along with Lioness's own customizable vibrations. Each of these products (and so many more!) are different shapes, produce different sensations, and can be used in a variety of different ways.

Plus, everyone's different in terms of what they like — and those preferences can even change over time and depending on the situation! So trying a few different types of toys can be quite fun (besides for obvious reasons, of course).

From Meh To My Favorite Bullet Vibrator

I'll let you in on a little secret. Crave's necklace vibrator has been one of my favorite go-to toys for a while now, alongside my own Lioness Vibrator and glass toys. That's a pretty touch position to beat, especially because I've tried quite a few sex toys over time (dare I say I'm in the 100 club?). Out of this group of toys it's been especially great for both solo AND partner play.

But... it didn't start that way (dun dun dun!). 🙊

Getting passionate & embracing yourself - Crave Vesper Bullet Necklace Vibrator

The first time

I have to admit, when I first started playing with the Vesper, I wasn’t a fan. The vibration felt too small and light compared to what I was used to. I had used a wide range of vibrators from “heavy hitters” like the Magic Wand (and it’s more affordable, but equally "magical" counterpart, the Wahl), along with other rabbit vibrators, g-spot toys, and external vibrators that had less power than the wands but somehow felt more substantial.

It also reminded me of one of the worst vibrators I had ever tried, which was one of those designer/luxury vibrators that looked nice, but the vibrations were so incredibly light that I wondered if anyone ever had an orgasm with it, and who the heck they tested it with before they put the product on shelves.

Vesper wasn't that light (thankfully—I've only encountered one other product truly like it), but the memory of that other toy made me bucket the experience with that pleasure-less memory.

Don’t judge a vibrator based on a one night stand

What intrigued me about the Vesper was that it’s an extremely slim, but strong for its size, bullet vibrator. Seriously, it’s a feat to design something that small that also packs a decent punch for its size. While it doesn't have the SUV-equivalent space for a giant vibrator motor like the Magic Wand does, its small, pencil-like shape means that you can stimulate small, but substantial areas of the clitoris and vulva in ways that are harder to do with toys that have a larger surface area (and yes that includes the wand toys).

Also, Vesper is made of stainless steel and it vibrates. I love the firmness of hard materials like glass and stainless steel, and rarely do you find ones that can also vibrate — and vibrate well.

Over a couple months of fumbling around with it now and then, I started to figure out what felt good. While some people say this is designed for pin point vibration, at least for me it wasn't literally the tip of the vibrator that worked for me. It was great for laying down on the side of the vulva and clitoris, and with its small size, being able to get into places around the vulva and clitoris that most other toys were to big for.

Crave vesper Lioness orgasm charts

Above is a comparison of two different orgasms, one using Vesper's vibration and one using Lioness's own vibration. The two charts share quite a few similarities because they both do clitoral stimulation via vibration, they're on the small-yet-stronger side, they nestle into the vulva and clitoris a bit, and also probably because I'm quite accustomed to both toys now and know what I like with them.

One thing to note is that what I'd call "aftershocks" (what happens after the initial rhythmic motion of the orgasm) feel different. Lioness has a pretty consistent rhythm coming down from orgasm, while Vesper is more inconsistent — it tampers down a lot, spikes up again a bit, tampers back down.

I wouldn't say one is better than the other — it's more like comparing different wines where they're both different experiences and flavor profiles. Dare I say, they have slightly different orgasm profiles? Too much? Okay. Moving on. 😉

You'll see some of variation like this after a few sessions with any toy, whether it's because of stress, medications, alcohol or cannabis consumption, or something else. Take this example below, this time comparing the previous Vesper session with one while using cannabis (a microdose of a hybrid edible...these mints from Breez in case you were curious).

Vesper with and without cannabis

And to add some qualitative data, so to speak, the experience with the edible was 👌👌👌. So there's a lot of ways to change up your experience with a combination of toys, techniques, fantasies, or something else! Be your own artist, or scientist, or whatever your jam is. Try new things, see what happens, explore, and have fun!

Design matters

Finally, this sounds kind of silly, but I feel fancy when I’m using this thing, and I think it factors in enhancing my own pleasure. It is designed to double as a stylish necklace, after all, and it's more subtle and eloquent versus something that a medieval mace I could use in self defense.

And now for the kicker

Finally, this thing is pretty easy to use during intercourse. You do have to hold it, and it is tiny so it may not be so great for people with arthritic hands, but if you’re able to and want to add a little zest to your next sex session, it’s great!

It's relatively easy to slip between you and a partner if you want to use it during penetrative sex, whereas with other toys you may be able to use them with certain positions (like doggy style or cowgirl) but they'd generally be too big to use for positions where most of your body is closer to your partner, like missionary. Or some products that are designed to be "wearable" or to use during sex that sound fun in theory, but may chafe or pop out during sex...

Anyhow, once I figured out my groove with the Vesper after fumbling a few times, first it became hey, I can actually get off with this thing. And now, wow, I love this!

I like it!

That being said, I personally don't care for it as a necklace… as said, everyone’s different when it comes to sex. Also when it comes to fashion. 😛 But for people who do like that, it can be fun, naughty, and empowering to be able to wear your pleasure visibly, yet hidden around your neck.

So while you won’t find me adding my vibrator to my wardrobe, it's a strong performer in my nightstand.

Overall, I think the Vesper is a great product and play and experiment with. Whether it becomes one of your new sex toys, a necklace, or both, it's a fun addition for curious (s)explorers everywhere!
